I'M 50 AND I HAVE A FOUR YEAR OLD, YIKES

I recently had a visit from a wonderful friend who became a first time parent the very same day that my husband I did.  What a day that was.  Everyone should become a first time parent in a forgien country with a lot of strangers, God does work in mysterious ways.

She and her daughter seem delighted to spend time with our family.  We get together at least once a year and sometimes several times a year, like this year. 

We were blessed with beautiful weather for their visit to our home town.  We enjoyed a "Just Ducky" tour and a visit to a local incline.

It was wonderful to see our daughter play together as if they saw each other every day.  They are at home with each other almost immediately.  They are so much alike and yet very different little people.  Her daughter is so well mannered and soft spoken.  My daughter is very fun loving and at times loud and crazy.  They are good for each other and we hope that they will be lifelong friends as we hope to be too.

Isn't it grand how God's plans work?

An Ordinary Day...... blessed by Jenna's love

Every day Dale and I are blessed by Jenna's Love.

She is just a true joy to be with.  Everyone should experience such simple love!

Please pray for those who are expecting babies that they know they can not keep and care for.

Please pray for orphans that wait for their forever families, God knows them and loves them.

Please pray for the mothers and fathers who choose to give life and surrender their children to God's will.

Please pray for all those who choose abortion as their option, God save their souls.

God please in grace help those who ponder what to do about their pregnancies to choose life!

Every Tear Drop

It hurts me to see how many are suffering from job loss these days.  It seems someone I know and care about is dealing with the situation more often then I have ever known.

One of my favorite hymns is "God Moves in a Mysterious Way" by William Cowper in 1774.

God moves in a mysterious way his wonders to perform; he plants his footsteps in the sea and rides upon the storm.  Deep in unfathomable mines of never failing skill he treasures up his bright designs, and works his sovereign  will.  Ye fearful saints, fresh courage take; the clouds ye so much dread are big with mercy, and shall break in blessings on your head.  Judge not the Lord by feeble sense, but trust him for his grace; behind a frowning providence he hides a smiling face.  His purposes will ripen fast, unfolding every hour; the bud may have a bitter taste, but sweet will be the flower.  Blind unbelief is sure to err, and scan his work in vain; God is his own interpreter, and he will make it plain.

FORGIVENESS

Today I have had a lot of time to reflect on the past month.  I have started a new job after being let go from my job of six years.  God IS GOOD!  I have landed in a great place.

He has taught me over and over again that HE IS IN CONTROL even when I doubt! 

He is teaching me about FORGIVENESS
