Flash Mobs and hand washing.....

Jenna has been praying for Haiti to get clean water.  It all started when our neighbor and Aunt Penny told her that they were planning to be part of a mission team that our church is sending to build solar water treatment systems for people in Haiti.  Our neighbor will be responsible for teaching both spiritual and hygene to the Haitians. 

I thought this video was cute.  It is a flash mob singing about washing your hands.  We all need to remember how important this is.

And the next one is just too funny!

Remebering Those That We Have Lost

My mother passed away 10 years ago on July 19th.  I still miss her everyday.  

A dear friend of mine lost her husband recently, I think that same date this year.  I know she dearly misses him too.

Simple Life!

What simple joy.  Great times.

I love spending time with this beautiful little person.  God is amazing. 

Jenna is very concerned and prays for the following:

A little girl named Jada who has cancer.

Clean water for Haiti.

Sami, a 16 year old with cancer.

Clean air for us to breath and thanks for a home to live in and food to eat.

And thanks to God for everything and for giving Mom a new gob.

She is the sweetest little soul!

I was in a relationship recently that ended all too soon and I want to understand what happened but will never know.  This song makes me think of going through that time.

God, please provide those of us that struggle with answers from you.  We need this to heal and begin again and again and again.

Compassion & Mercy

I was recently listening to a program on the radio later in the evening while waiting for my daughter to go to sleep.

It was talking about God's mercy and compassion for us.

Mercy is when God gives us something that we don't deserve, instead of what we deserve for our sins.  He shows compassion to us in his mercy.

When we connect with God and understand his mercy for us we can become more compassionate to those around us, family, friends and co-workers.  Thank God today for his mercy that is new every morning.

I will show you some photos of Jenna from today.  It was 97 degrees today...too hot.  She liked this park but wanted someone to play with in the water.  If you live close to us, let us know if you want to meet us there for a picnic or play date.

Spending time with Jenna....what a joy!

Recently I have found myself out of a job again.....This made me sad as I liked what I did and who I worked for.  However being a parent of a 5 year old can be a challenge trying to keep things in a balance.  I need to work 4 days a week not 5 and find that many places will not consider you if you won't work 5 days a week.  So for now as I search, I am spending more time with my 5 year old Jenna and what a joy this time is.
